'Barkaritaville' is the name of our property in Middle Tennesse. We are now located on 9 acres of field and forest an hour east of Nashville. We began in May of 2005 as a foster home for New England based rescues, who save the lives of thousands of puppies and dogs destined to be euthanised in Tennessee animal control shelters. We are not a 501c3 corporation nor a charitable organization. We do not solicit donations of any kind from anyone, anywhere. We hope to obtain our charitable status so we can accept donations. It's a really expensive process!
Beth is a single mom with 5 children, currently has 5 dogs of her own and fosters too! If she doesn't get back to you right away, hang in there- it's kinda chaotic at home sometimes-
Cheryl is our Michigan liason. Once an adopter, now our Michigan Adoption Coordinator! We love her! She's the best!
Our purpose is to help homeless pets find their forever home through a matching process with screened applicants from all over the United States. The adoption fee is used to pay for veterinary care, more specifically, vaccinations and spay and neuter of the adoptable animals. The transport fees are paid directly to the transportation company by the adopter, whether it be by land or air. We are not making a profit and do not seek to do so.
Should you find yourself with an animal that needs a home, please email me and I will do my best to aid you in finding the perfect home for that animal. Should you not be in a position to foster that animal until a forever home is found, I will help you find a foster home to care for that animal until it is placed in the perfect home. If you are seeking help because your animal has bitten someone we will be unable to accept that animal.
There are many low cost spay and neuter clinics in the Mid Tennessee area. I can help you find one that meets your needs. There are also many veterinarians that provide reasonably priced every day and emergency care to animals in need.
